Delete Your Account

You can delete your Risers account and your data at any time. It is self-service inside the app, and there is a way to ask us if you no longer have the app installed.

If you have the app

1. Open Risers and go to your Profile.
2. Tap the Settings icon.
3. Tap Delete account, then confirm twice.

Your account is deactivated straight away. You are removed from your friends' circles and you disappear from their feeds.

If you no longer have the app

Email support@risers.fit from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We will confirm the request with you and then delete the account.

The 14-day window

For 14 days after you confirm, your account is deactivated but recoverable. If you change your mind, sign back in during that time and choose Reactivate my account. Your account and your circle are restored.

After 14 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What is deleted

• Your profile: name, photo and bio
• Every picture and video you posted
• Your plans, schedule and check-in history
• Your Climb history and streaks
• Your circle connections, invites and shared plan memberships
• Your reactions, and likes you left on comments
• Messages you sent us through the app's Help screen
• Your sign-in. The email address becomes free to use for a new account.

What is kept

Comments you wrote on friends' posts stay in place so their conversations still make sense, but your name and photo are removed and the comment shows as "Deleted user".

Copies in routine backups held by our infrastructure provider are overwritten on that provider's standard cycle. We may keep limited information longer where the law requires it.

Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings.
